23.07.2019 - PHILA HISTORICA No. 2/2019 released!
(pcp-wm) For many philatelists and literary historians, every new issue of this 250-page magazine, which is for free four times a year, is always delighting

. It offers insights into the history of philately, which can hardly be found elsewhere in such detail and precision. Anyone who is interested can download it free of charge from the Internet at www.philahistorica.de
The new edition intentionally focuses on current topics. It presents an extensive follow-up report on STOCKHOLMIA 2019 and three more extensive reviews on the development of well-known auction companies, which are celebrating round anniversaries of their existence this year: Pfankuch & Co., Edgar Mohrmann and Peter Feuser. Friends of 19th century philatelic history will find information on the activities of Bavarian Philatelists Club in Munich (50 pages!), on Alfred Moschkau and on the much lesser known Louis May, who is also to be regarded as a pioneer of German philately (32 pages), two literature studies on Natalis Rondots first series of articles ever published in philately (18 pages) and a continuation of the Chronicle of German Philately before 1934 (56 pages). As always, the new additions to the Philatelic Libraries complete the program of this issue.
