12.10.2018 - New BDPh website: concise, up-to-date and modern

(BDPh) The website of the German association of philatelists (BDPh) has been thoroughly and fundamentally revised in the past months under the direction of BDPh President Alfred Schmidt. "In addition to the new look, we have also partially adapted the content. Our goal: to offer user-friendly and attractive site, so that visitors are well informed", Schmidt emphasizes.
Christian Büning (Oberwesel) has revised the pages optically, whilst Stefanie Wiechmann (Mönchengladbach) technically implemented the design. "The site now has a fresh look and offers a variety of subjects. Modern, with the emphasis on images," says Schmidt.
An important decision was to provide the contents of the refreshed website from now on free of charge. The previous registration procedure is no longer necessary. Only those who wish to read the monthly magazine for members of the BDPh, “philatelie”, will have to register themselves. The detour via the previous provider is no longer necessary. So if one doesn’t wish to rely on the printed editions and wishes to read the same contents instead, but online, he or she can download them as a PDF file. At the same time, the postal dispatch will be discontinued. The registration will be checked very fast, after which the activation will take place within a short time. Schmidt: "The editions can be read here from January 2017 on. Europe's highest-circulation philatelic journal is thus breaking new ground.
The president of the BDPh is of course pleased with the praise that has been received so far, regarding the new look of the website, but criticism is also welcome. Please send your comments the following e-mail address:
