24.03.2017 - Recently published: ACADEMUS No. 21 (Madrid)

(wm) The Spanish Academy of Philatelic History and Postal History (‘Real Academia Hispánica de Filatelia e Historia Posta’) publishes regularly a brochure called 'ACADEMUS', which is now in its 18th year. Recently, No. 21 of this brochure, which contains 192 pages in B5 format, has appeared. This edition of 'ACADEMUS' contains, as usual, numerous valuable contributions from well-known authors. The focus is on Spain and South America. For example, there are contributions about Colombia and its past postal development (since the times of the Incas!); the number stamps of Chile (1853-1881); the early Spiro fakes of the first issue of Salvador (1867) and the history of the Colombian airmail. An article about the multi-colored 15 cents stamp of the USA (1869/75) complements the very interesting repertoire. The articles are written in Spanish language, but brief English summaries are provided. The current brochure (No. 21) costs only 18 euros, thanks to subsidies. Contact: email, Internet
