Two weeks ago the IPHLA team has met for the first time. And already now, only two weeks later, the official IPHLA website - managed professionally by Michael Lenke - is on-line. Visitors of the site will be able to gather extensive information about the IPHLA 2012 International Philatelic Literature Exhibition, that will be held on 2, 3 and 4 November 2012 in the City Hall of the German city of Mainz.

With immediate entrance authors and publishers can download the application forms that have to be filled in to enter exhibits for the competition. For the first time, not only traditionally printed philatelic literature may participate, but also literature that has been published in digital form. Another first is that it will be possible to enter so-called documentary literature exhibits: publications with a scope not primarily directed on philatelic research, but that instead document as extensively as possible – for instance in auction catalogues or other, separate publications – all knowledgeable facts about famous philatelic collections.

Visitors of the site (www.iphla.de) are also able to download the applying international exhibition regulations, interesting facts about the city of Mainz, directions that may be followed to find the exhibition premises in a most convenient way, as well as information about the hotels that are recommended by the organisation of the IPHLA. Essential data with regard to the exhibition booths that will be on lease for interested associations, libraries, literature dealers and publishers will follow a bit later, probably in a few months time. Those interested in the latest developments of the exhibition can apply for a special e-mail service, provided by the organising committee (please contact W.Maassen@aijp.org).
