A company´s history documented in an exhibition catalog The Wiesbaden Stamp Collectors Club (est. 1885) has celebrated from 8 to 10 October its 125th anniversary, at the castle Wiesbaden-Biebrich in Germany. The club did so by organizing an excellent and dazzling exhibition, an event that attracted much attention.’

Another highlight was the publication of an excellent commemorative publication, produced especially for the exhibition. It contains several articles by Dr. Andreas Hahn (Curator of the Philatelic Archive of the Museum Foundation in Bonn) regarding the subject ‘the invention of the stamp’ and a detailed article about the history of the auction house of Heinrich Köhler (‘A day should have 24 working hours’), written by Dieter Michelson and Henry Mimberg.

In about twenty pages the history of Germany´s oldest auction house is described in detail, which means that it is preserved for the future. Both authors are members of the AIJP; we would like to thank them for their excellent work.
