01.07.2012 - Jury of IPHLA 2012 has been appointed!
The Bund Deutscher Philatelisten (the official organizer of the International Philatelic Literature Exhibition IPHLA 2012 in Mainz) has appointed an excellent international jury.
The jury is staffed with experts and connoisseurs. The appointment took place after consultation with the main patrons of the exhibition, FEPA and AIJP. Among the jury are the following persons:
Peter Fischer (Germany), Ingo von Garnier (Germany), Dr. Gerald Heschl (Austria), Francis Kiddle (Great-Britain), Dr. Giancarlo Morolli (Italy), Jose Ramon Moreno (Spain), Dr. Ernst Schlunegger (Switzerland) and Anthony Virvilis (Greece). The following jury apprentices were also appointed: Bruno Crevato-Selvaggi (Italy), Dietrich Ecklebe (Germany) and Alfred Schmidt (Germany). Peter Fischer – who acted as Vice President during IPHLA 89 in Frankfurt – has been appointed President of Jury for IPHLA 2012.
There will be a lot of work for the jurors in the coming summer months. They will work divide into four small groups. Each group will have to evaluate and judge 150 exhibits. Thereafter, the results will be discussed. And in Mainz the jury will have only three days for reaching a final verdict, which will be made in front of "the real thing".
