22.10.2012 - A handbook for Liechtenstein collectors
The new Liechtenstein Stamp Catalogue (2012) may be considered to be a manual for serious Liechtenstein collectors.
It concerns a publication the Association of Liechtenstein Collectors (‘Liechtensteinische Sammlerverband’) and the official post of Liechtenstein that appeared a few weeks ago. With its full-colour illustrations and a girth of nearly 600 pages the catalogue (which is printed in the A5 format) has a good chance to surprise even special collectors. All Liechtenstein stamps of the last 101 years are depicted in their chronological order. For the first time also prices for hinged copies of stamps from the period 1912-1960 are listed. Especially the appendixes of the catalotue are interesting: they deal with themes like eo-philately, Austrian and Swiss stamps and those postal stationery items that were used within Liechtenstein. But they also offer information about postal stationary of Liechtenstein itself, about catapult post, air mail, Zeppelin post, military stationary, prisoners and internee mail items and much more. Even the coins of Liechtenstein are listed. Thanks to this plethora of information, the catalogue can be an informative guide for interested collectors. Selling price of the catalogue in book stores is 35 CHF; the ISB-Number is 978-3-9523935-0-5. You may also contact the Philatelic Service of Liechtenstein, P.O.
